WEIRD INCIDENT OF LEETAHSAR....believe it or not...
there was once i striked lottery, as usual. but this time it was a misery $20 from a permutation bet. it wasn't a big matter. however, there was this very strong urge that i needed to call my sis, hwee's cellphone to tell her about this. crazy right? $20 only and u go tell the whole world.
mama lee gave me a good stereo, "sar, u ding tong is it? $20 and u go tell u sis for what? u eat full nothing to do is it?!"
but this urge was so intense, i just needed to call her. i ignored mum's stereo and called. blah..blah...and after a few minutes, the house phone rang. it was hwee on the line.
"tahsar, u know what just happened or not?" she asked. "if just now u din call my handphone, i would be dead now..." i was shocked when i heard those words. "i was about to cross the pedestrian crossing, it was green man light, and my phone rang. so i paused on the kerb to answer ur call," she continued, "If i din pause and just cross, there was a crazy speeding car that zoomed by without stopping...i crossed i sure get banged and sure mati, u know....thanks tahsar...u just saved my life..."
can u believe this? i was also shocked that this incident occured. it seem that my pyschic link with my siblings and parents were very very strong...and now i fear...i feel my devilish horny old man rolanto aka lau han koo lee would really one of this day die cock standing in haaydai after flings with the spider spirits there....i really fear. that's why i have to harden mama lee's heart so that when that really happens, she would be mentally prepared for it....chui guo chui guo...
yes, i have warned rolanto many many times about his eventual fate if he keeps on this way only to be hurled with humiliation and insults that i was an enunch who refuses to get married...and worst even i dunno how to write it out...he even spat on me at times...can u imagine that? almost spurred me to re arrange his face if mum din stopped me in time....
and then the striking of 4Ds and totos are now like pang sai to me...there was one week, like all the draws, i also striked. no joke.heaven really loves this good goon! ;9) had i know myself earlier, i would have retired even earlier....hahahaha....

During the first couple of years after I moved here, I visited Sg. few times a year, to tie up loose ends and clear up some unfinished work.
In early 2005, after about 8 years absence, I visited Sg. with my family . One would not have realise how Sg. had transformed into even a more beautiful city if one had not been out of the country for a number of years. I was disappointed though when I went looking for Blanco Court. Yah I was looking forward to enjoy the world's best 'kueh chap'. There was no Blanco Court but a shining brand new building in its place call Raffles Hospital.
While in Sg. I spent many days with my family, revisiting many of the places which I did not 'have time' to do previously. Weird isn't it? No time to do that when I was staying in Sg. and now got time to do it when no more staying in Sg. I shall tell you few places which I visited that were close to the former BANSIEWSAN kampong. Tanjong Belayer was once my preferred get away-from-it-all if I needed a wind down after some very stressed up days. The feeling on this visit to Tanjong Belayer beach was completely different from the last I made in the early 80's. My mind and body was loosten up and I feasted my eyes on the beautiful scenery across the sea, and a stroll along the few 100 meters beach front was refreshing. There were vast improvements and some new facilities added to this place since I last visited. The visit to the hill top along South Bouna Vista Road was memories reminiscent of my NS (CivilDefence) days. I did some CD training at the camp on top of the hill. An old army tank was part of the display when I went there. Part of my NS (CD) training involved a hike and road march from the camp and all the way up to Mt.Faber. Next was a drive to the other part of Mt.Faber (Mt.Washington). I was invited to Alkaff Mansion for lunch and dinner on a few occasions in the late 80's. The building was so grand looking after it was painstakingly restored. This time around I was greeted by a sorrowful sight when I visited the Alkaff Mansion. It was now a dilapidated building ... so sad!

alkaff mansion really deserved to close shop...the food they sell there was so so expensive like nobody's business...so really in the end...no body business. so closed lor.
sad, u r like looking at a haunted building like that...and the gov like din do anything...i never been up there since i lost my trusty pickup. dunno whether anything's done yet or not...
i used to go to one corner at beo cresent coffeeshop. they sell one of the best hainanese teh si i ever drunk. there is a malay nasi padang stall. i would packet the rice with beef rendang, 1 tempei, veggie, and lodeh with tofu. then packet a teh si which was served in a styrofoam cup....and off i drove to mt washington or now called telok blangah hills...later maybe after the passing of lau lee, it may rename again to lee kuan hill...just kidding..
when i reached there, the rice would have soaked up all the curries and gravies...and it was a real out of this world nasi padang. after makan, this piggy would nap there for hours before heading off to tend customers' gardens maintained and designed by me.
such was a relaxing no body business life for me...until the bulldozer came and my trusty pickup demise...and everything darken around me...so i quit for good and go into recluse. into the spiritual world of chanting and reading sutras...to prepare for my next life journey...which frankly i hope won't happen this life...i really want to siam...and i dunno whether can siam or not...like if i reach the monkhood...i would definitely have total tranquility....but i dunno. too many things i love and hate to be detached from. i only sense what's going to happen to me.
weird but after retiring, my mind is clear as crystal with no more stressful distraction...and it's kind of develop uncanny "6th senses" or like they said, the opening of the 3rd eye...i could sense things forthcoming....i will now tell about one of my real weird happening....

in our kampong, cousin peeleepian was damn good at constructing tree house on my majestic guava tree. then the whole gang of kids would crawl inside chit chat and played masuk masuk with real foodstuffs but little culinary. so fun. ah eng jie would cook for us congee and we eat in the small little masuk masuk bowls using the masuk masuk spoons...so cute and enjoyable. :)

Welcome to the Food Club!Wow brother didn't know you are also a food connoisseur!Yes man I love to feast on the HK style of siew ngoh (roast goose) and siew yue kup (roast pigeon). Fortunately for all the food lovers here who loves food prepared by HK chefs, at least 90% of the Chinese restaurants here are owned and managed by the HKies. The dish you had in HK ..."a whole lobster unshelled and chopped up in melted cheese covered wanton mee. damn shiok!" ... You've given a brilliant idea! When I next get my hands on some lobsters, I'll prepare do this dish with pastas in the oven !Your HK pal and family "who live in his very big bungalow in BURNABY, vancouver, very nice place, friendly neighbourhood and what big gardens he has" .... and his very big bungalow would look like this?

thx aussieb for ur makan invitation.
speaking of lobsters, i ate quite alot while in hk one yr. it was lobster season and i ate lobster almost everyday from oz specie to boston.so many varied version they were cooked. but the best i love is the cheesy lobster mee.a whole lobster unshelled and chopped up in melted cheese covered wanton mee. damn shiok!
and yes...the juicy siew ngoh with the sar mai fun...roast goose with thick vermicelli soup....shiok man!
and the teochew stinky deep fried tofu and mantis prawn...tsk...tsk...ok...hk, here i come again this march....then maybe detour to taiwan...oh god! i going to get back my sparetyre again....
once i was there, my hkie brought me to YUEN LONG. it was in NT (new terrority which means very ulu). it was a 2 hr bus ride from one terminal to the other end. guess what we went there? to eat a bowl of gluey snake soup and then took another 2 hr bus back to CAUSEWAY BAY where our service apartment was located...no joke my ding hkie pal!4 hrs ride, just to slurp a bowl of gluey snake soup....roast pigeon, another of my favourite. the best was from a restaurant in shatin, SAN SUI WAH which already relocated to vancouver and so r my hk pal and family. been there a couple times and stayed in his very big bungalow in BURNABY, vancouver. very nice place. friendly neighbourhood and what big gardens he has. one infront and one back. we had our parting dinner with roast pigeon again in SAN SUI WAH, at the outskirt of vancouver.
he planted different kinds of flowering plants. a very nice row of heather. a very fragrant poenie and bushes of densely flowering azaleas. in the back garden, he got an apple tree, a pear tree...and i almost add "and a partridge in a pear tree..." hahaha...so fun.yet he is unhappy. he missed hk. if weren;t for his chai por or police chief wife who used to boss the MONGKOK POLICE CLUB, he won't have to go into earlier retirement and forced to migrate. his wife held a very high sensitiv post so the gov there force them to retire and migrate after paying them huge sum in miillions as gratuity. and up to the day both he and his wifey die, they will get a pension of their last drawn pays from the hk gov...so damn good. wish ours can do the same here, man!
beside that, they can return hk anytime and seek free medicals. they are still entitled to this privileges until they kong off....heaven for them actually. no need to work and still got last drawn salaries until they die.
i love to be his neighbour...but who's there to pay my pension? he has 2 daughters and he din even got to worry about their school fees. it's free! gov pow ka liao....utilities damn cheap...no need tv licence to pay...only cable tv if u want to connect. petrol there charged by the gallon and damn damn cheap. for the price of my daihatsu hiject 1000cc, i can get a brand new accura (HONDA).
i especially love VICTORIA ISLAND where the renowned BUCCHART GARDENS is located. got to take a few hours jumbo ferry ride to reach there. this humongous ferry can allow buses to park right into its lower deck. all alight and go into the upper deck and view the beautiful natural forest scenery. u even get to see school of dolphins and seals...very very shiok! there is a restaurant in this monstrous ferry...and most just relax, soak in the sight and enjoy their cuppa. there was also an arcade room with pinball machines...my favourite and other computer games...of course, u got to change u bills to quarters first to play.
and the paps think everyone here are well toadies. c'mon when will they stop living themselves in denial...i hate the bloody paps here.
they deprived us the rights to vote...and to vote them out. they set ridiculous GRCs...queentown, the place i m staying, is a 7 constituencies super grc and named TG. PAGAR GRC. we ve tg. pagar, q'town, alexandra, brickwork, tanglin, cairnhill and my god! moulmein....the last one looks ridiculous as it was all the way out....might as well go include tuas and changi...then no more opps...they win landslide 100% victory....
this land is a good land...with good hardworking people...only thing is everyone just pathetic and can't be bothered being led by the nose. no one dares voice out....no one dares protest...if it dun affect me whatever i m doing now...no one fuck care!
so year in, year out, the paps stay in power...and their heads just swell too big for their shoes...sad :(
i wish we could be like a bit like the hkies...speak out for our rights...fight for it...and not so bo chap! so kiasee!
being poor makes me bold...they can hunt me down...i got nothing to lose...the most i go stay in changi international hotel...or worst...i sadomaschotic by the ugly chua sisters which u r dying for their sadistic ISD treatment....hmm...maybe hor...i do a fiction on this....
LEETAHSAR S&M BY THE UGLY CHUA SISTERS....hahaha...see how...
enjoy ur feast, my dear friend...enjoy the taste of ur delicious hor fun and ur bliss with ur family...i will chant a blessing sutra for u and ur family....take care, brother...;9)
